💲 Taboola Buys Connexity for $800M
Taboola went public and (market cap $1.9 billion, according to Google, and $2.35 billion according to…themselves) announced an acquisition of Connexity for $800M – a marketing technology company that operates an retail- and e-commerce-focused advertising network.
The deal happened in the form of $260 million cash on hand, $300 million from committed debt financing and about $240 million shares issued to the seller.

Connexity includes 1,600 direct merchants, 6,000 publishers (Walmart, Ebay and others), and its network has some 40,000 retail-oriented publishers that can select from a pool of 750 million prodiuct offers and an audience of 100 million shoppers.
Connexity covers affiliate links, influencer marketing, in-stream ads, shopping search ads and more.
Taboola expects the combined company to have gross profit of over $500 million for the fiscal year with $185 million of adjusted EBITDA.

FEATURED STM THREAD: How To Sell Coffee Pods… or any other product?
Sometimes you might already have a product and a store in place, you might already be doing pretty well… but you still feel like there should be a way to step up your game. Know that feeling?
That’s exactly the situation one of STM Forum’s members found themselves in. “ahmedmtr” is handling the IG and FB campaigns for an online store selling coffee pods and he has some questions, such as:
-What kind of copies to use? “statements to encourage buying more stock of coffee pods”
-What kind of angles can be used to encourage buying coffee pods online?
-What kind of images? designs/colors to use
And that’s why he decided to turn to STM folks, to get some ideas and help. And as always, he got served and the ideas started to flow in shortly. And some really good ones too.
Need help with with your store or you just need to get a bit of brainstorming going? We are here to help. Check the advice “ahmedmtr” received and who knows, you might find some useful info in it. Link to the thread is below:
