FEATURED STM THREAD: TikTok – Should I Continue With This Offer?

An interesting debate started on the STM Forum this week. One of our members “stungads” is promoting a leadgen offer on TikTok. Conversions are coming in, but there is a problem. It’s a revshare offer that has several payout levels, depending on the credit score of the leads.

The better the score, the higher the payout… but the majority of these leads have poor credit scores and that’s the root of the problem. Looks like TikTok’s algo doesn’t care much how high the payout is, as long as there are some conversions, it “thinks” all is fine and keeps on pushing.

So what’s the solution here? How should we tell TikTok to optimize for the high quality leads only? Several members joined the discussion and suggested some tricks to use. From using a dummy postback script all the way to reporting fake conversions for clicks that match the ideal customer profile.
