📧 How to Quickly Build an Ecommerce Email List That Generates Sales

Email users can possibly reach 4.3 billion by 2023.

With 3.9 billion email users right now, that’s more than Facebook (2.6B) and Twitter (330M) combined.

Why do we bring this up?

Because of all the fuzz around Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Messenger and SMS – no, they won’t kill email. Email’s ROI is higher (“the average email marketing program generates a 38x ROI”) and nobody’s abandoning it.

Besides, when you have an email list, you’re the owner. There’s no risk of losing your entire audience.

BigCommerce brings forth 11 steps for building your email list:

1. Encourage subscribers to share and forward emails.
2. Add a link to your employees’ signatures.
3. Promote a contest on social media.
4. Add a call to action on your Facebook business page.
5. Ask website visitors for feedback.
6. Link to offers across your website that capture email signups.
7. Host an online webinar or Facebook Live.
8. Run a group promotion with a partner website or email newsletter.
9. Use an interactive pop-up form.
10. Collect emails at checkout.
11. Create a referral program.

FEATURED STM THREAD: How to find a profitable offer as a newbie?

Easy question, not that easy answer 🙂 Ranrev, one of the most recent STM newbie members, asked the question this week and quite a few people chimed in, to share their opinion. Ranging from pretty recent members to seasoned affiliate veterans, looks like everyone shares the same opinion.

To sum it up, there are no shortcuts
the only way of doing this properly is actually testing the offers with real traffic. But, the discussion didn’t stop there just yet. Plenty of advice has been given.

What GEOs to stay away from, how many offers to test, whether -30% ROI is bad for the starters etc
And our beloved Amy (vortex) jumped in to share a lot of advice on how to test in the most effective way to make sure your testing budget is well spent.

Great stuff as always, check the thread by following the link below
