TRIBUTE TO AN INDUSTRY LEGEND
This week, the MRKTRS community have sadly lost a much loved member of the industry – Hugh Hancock a.k.a Caurmen.
Known as the ‘Guardian of the Guides’ on the affiliate marketing forum STM, Hugh was a widely respected affiliate marketer due to his passion, creativity and willingness to help.
He spoke energetically at several AW Conferences and remains the most thanked member of STM community for a reason – he helped many, many men and women around the globe kickstart their AM careers.
Here are some of his engaging talks from AWEurope 2016 and AWEurope 2017

THE SECRETS OF A BIOHACKER
When Serge Faguet, a successful Silicone Valley tech CEO, divulged his recipe for manipulating his biochemistry (feat. in a previous MRKTRS Newsletter) he discussed how he had become healthier, more productive and happier.
In this new article, Faguet goes deeper and more personal – covering topics from sex to MDMA to his futuristic plans.
He covers:
- Intelligence – what actually is intelligence?
- A framework for boosting intelligence.
- How he ‘plays the field’, per se.
- Why he only eats once a day.
- The supplements he swears by.
- And why he believes this is all important for the future.
Note: It’s a 45 minute read. And may not be everyone’s cup of tea but an interesting read nevertheless.
THE EMOTIONAL CHATBOTS
Replika is an AI app created simply to talk and engage with the user. And now it’s becoming so personal, it’s fast becoming a digital companion. A friend.
The chatbot uses a neural network to hold an ongoing, one-on-one conversation with its user, and over time, learn how to speak like them. It recognises human emotion.
Creator Eugenia Kuyda, who created the first instance of Replika to replicate discussions with a close friend who had passed away, is now releasing the underlying code of the app. The hope is for developers to build upon the AI engine to create more emotional products.
